I am doing research on Rebecca Russell, Mooney, Harper. She was born in 1823 in KY. I cannot prove her parents name at this time. On Dec. 29, 1842 in Polk Co MO she married John B. Mooney and they owned land just northwest of Pleasant Hope. John B. was the son of John Mooney for whom Mooney Township in southeast Polk County was named. John B. and Rebecca had Thomas B. in 1846 and Milly Ann in 1847. John B. died in 1848, death and burial places are unknown. About a year later Rebecca married James Riley Harper Sr of Dallas Co MO . They had James Riley Jr, William Larkin, Sarah Jane and John Hayden. Rebecca died 14 June 1872 and is buried in the Fowler-Hurst Cemetery at Mill Creek in northeast Dallas Co. James Sr was the brother of Rachel Harper Fowler also buried at the cemetery. James Riley Harper then married Mary J. Murphy and they moved to TX. Rachel Harper Fowler was my third great grandmother. Thomas B. Mooney died in 1861. I do not not the burial place of either Thomas or Milly. Milly Ann Mooney married James W. Martin about 1865. They had two sons George T and William R. Milly died Nov. 20 1872. James' parents were G. W and M. E. Martin. George and William were with their Martin grandparents on the 1880 Dallas Co. census. Does anyone have information on any of the above mentioned? I am interested in Mooney Township history and each of the above names except for Mooney are found in my family tree as blood kin. I would appreciate any help. Linda Fowler Crawford
