Rebecca Brown 1830 census in Jackson County, TN Alexander Blair: 40-50; wife 30-40; 1 male 20-30; 1 male 15-20; 1 male 10-15; 2 males 5-10; 2 males under 5. Andrew Blair (20-30) was nearby. Alexander Blair must have first been married to Rebecca Brown. Then in 1840 married Nancy Huff. Alexander and Rebecca Brown Blair had a son named Richard Alexander Blair who was born in TN in 1829 (see 21 year old in 1850 census) and married Mahala Clark. She died in Polk County, MO in 1870, Richard Alexander Blair in Aldrich [County], Missouri in 1913. In 1860, Alex (Richard Alexander) Blair was in Polk County, MO, 30, born in TN, with Mahala, 25, born in MO, and Matilda Clark, 21, born in MO; William Blair, 5, born in MO; Malvina, 3, born in MO; and Mary, 1, born in MO. Mahala Clark, born February 12, 1834 in Missouri; died July 17, 1870 in Polk County, MO. Alexander Blair (born 1792 according to 1850 census or 1790 in NC in 1860 census or 1776 in 1870 census) married Nancy Huff (born 1800) in Polk County, MO in 1840. In 1850, Alexander was 58, born in NC, and Nancy was 50, born in TN, with Alexander, 21, born in TN, Thomas, 11, born in MO, Jane, 11, born in MO, Kitty, 9, born in MO, and John, 6, born in MO. In 1860 in Polk County, Alexander was 70, born in NC, with Nancy, 60, born in TN; and Kitty, 18, born in MO, and Thomas Rowan, 5, born in MO. In 1870 in Polk County, MO,, Alexander Blair was 94, born in 1776 in TN, with Nancy, 70, born in 1800 in TN. In household is Louisa, 28 born in MO; Thomas Rowan, 15, born in MO; and Noah Blair, 18, born in MO. Hiram Blair (born 1813). Some researchers have Hiram Blair (born about 1813 in TN) as a son of Alexander and Rebecca: 1836 and 1837: Hiram Blair was in tax list in Washington County, Arkansas. 1850 in Polk County, MO: Hiram Blair was in household of Hillory Blair (M), 27, born in TN; with Amanda, 22; Rufus, 2; Luther, 3 months. Hiram is 34, born in Tennessee. 1860: Benton, Dallas County, MO, age 40, born in TN; Elizabeth A., age 35, born in TN; John, 16, born in MO; W. L., 11, born in Arkansas; John A. (or K.), 10, born in MO (note two Johns); Charles, 6, born in MO; Louisa, 4, born in MO; Daniel S., 8, born in MO; and Leander, 7 months, born in MO. In 1870 census, Hiram was in Benton, Dallas County, MO, 52, born in TN. In household were Elizabeth, 44, born in TN; Charles, 15, Luisa, 14; Daniel, 12; Lindon (Leander?), 10; George, 7; Nelson, 5; and Samuel, 4. In 1880 in Benton, Dallas County, MO, Hiram was 66, his wife now was Nell, 56, born in TN; with Eliza, Dan, Leander, George, Prior, and Sammy. In 1900, Hiram was in Buffalo, Dallas County, MO, 87, born in TN as were both of his parents; with Liza, 45 (daughter); George, 39 (a widower); P.N. Family tree says George was born in Grundy County, TN and married Sarah and/or Sallie Rook, with children: Jasper, Isam, Frame, Ruphina, Noah, Burilla, Lauretta, Hannibal, Permelia, and Pinckney. Sarah Rook was daughter of Hezekiah Rook and born in Grainger County, TN. This family history has George as son of Alexander and Unknown Brown Blair. In 1860, George was in Polk, 43, with Sarah, 42, Jasper, Isham, Frame, Ruphina, Burilla, Lauretta, Hannibal, Permelia, and Lucy Rook, 72. [Note: Lucy Rook must be Sarah's mother.] Jackson Blair (born 1823) was in Morgan County, Illinois in 1850, 27, born in TN, with wife Rebecca, 29, born in IL, and Nancy, 7, born in IL, Elizabeth Aday, 27, born in IL, Charles Blair, 1, born in IL. In Polk County, MO in 1860, although he also appears on 1841 tax list in Polk. In 1860, Jackson was 45, born in TN, with Mary (or Alany), 26; born in MO; Nancy, 17, born in MO; Henry (?), 8, born in IL; Mary, 6; born in IL; Noah, 3, born in MO, a male 7 months, born in MO, and Jane, 8, born in MO. Andrew Blair (born 1824) was in Polk County, MO in 1860, 36 years old, born in TN; with Tempa, 36, born in TN; Young, 18, born in MO; James, 17; born in MO; Susan, 14, born in MO; Thos (?), 12, born in MO; Joseph, 10, born in MO; Jackson, 7, born in TN; and Mary, 1, born in MO. Next to Alexander and Nancy Blair where were next to George W. Blair who was next to Joseph (Josiah?) Brown and Annie with their children who were next to Thomas Wright who was next to Jane Wright. In 1870, Andrew was in Dallas County, 47, with Temperance, 47, and Josiah, Andrew J., Mary, Sarah, Rebecca, and Lora. Hillory Blair (born 1823) was in Polk County, MO in 1850 and 1870. Born in TN, with Amanda, 43, born in TN, and Luther, Martha, Madison, Nancy, Robert, William, Anna, and John, all born in MO. In 1850, Hiram Blair was in their household.
