I was also shown the first house my father stay the night in Polk Co Mo., emigrating from Pulaski Co Mo., in 1900. He was 5 yrs old. It took me many,many years to find the house he stay in was his Uncle Umphrey Jones who was living near Pleasant Hill, between Bolivar and Halfway.
