Can anyone tell me if William Walter Drake and Walter W. Drake are the same person.Walter is the son of Anthony Sylvester Drake and appears in1900 census in Polk County Missouri. William Walter Drake shows up on 1917 draft registration card. It shows him from Polk County Missouri also with the same birth month and year.

For what it's worth. In the 1900 fed. Census of Polk Co. MO there is listed in Marion Township a Jessie Bewley, age 63 born in KY, and his wife Katie, age 64, born in TN. Also inumrated with them is a Niece, Ophelia Haynes, age 27, born in Arkansas. I remember my grandparents talking of a friend Chester Bewley. Don't know if Chester was a descendant of your family or not, but I think he lived in Polk Co. at some point in time.
