Spencer was my gggrandfather but I am related to his first marriage side. His son Spencer, Jr. was my ggrandfather. What I learned from the papers is that Sarah married again in 1894 to Israel Disler. I can't get any further back than Hugh Morgan either. Alexander Blair must have first been married to Rebecca Brown. Then in 1840 married Nancy Huff. Alexander and Rebecca Brown Blair had a son named Richard Alexander Blair who was born in TN in 1829 (see 21 year old in 1850 census) and married Mahala Clark. She died in Polk County, MO in 1870, Richard Alexander Blair in Aldrich [County], Missouri in 1913. In 1860, Alex (Richard Alexander) Blair was in Polk County, MO, 30, born in TN, with Mahala, 25, born in MO, and Matilda Clark, 21, born in MO; William Blair, 5, born in MO; Malvina, 3, born in MO; and Mary, 1, born in MO. Mahala Clark, born February 12, 1834 in Missouri; died July 17, 1870 in Polk County, MO. Sarah Rook was daughter of Hezekiah Rook and born in Grainger County, TN. This family history has George as son of Alexander and Unknown Brown Blair. My family also left Baden, they were Zirkle family. They came early to mid 1800's. Settled in PA. But don't really know why they left. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Lil CARNEY which was taken at the L. H. Swanson Studio in Fairplay, Missouri. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's or 1890's with Lil likely in her teens or 20's at the time it was taken. In addition to her name, someone has written "Mother's Friend" on the back of the photograph. I am hoping to locate someone from the family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to the care of her family. Jeter Mary Amelia Jeter, 83, Humansville, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000. She was born Nov. 20, 1916, in Hebron, Neb., the eighth of nine children born to Adolph Joseph and Florence Rozanna Prentice DeWald. She married Wilton Hubert Jeter on June 29, 1938. To this union three children were born, Wilton Hubert Jr., Bernice Jane and Beverly June. After several years of following road construction, they bought a farm near Collins, where they raised their family. They lived there until 1993, when they moved to Bolivar because of their health. In December 1997 they moved into Big Spring Care Center in Humansville. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Wilton Jeter, on May 23, 1998; her parents; four brothers, Ralph, Linus, Harold and John; and two sisters, Grace and Alice. Survivors include their three children and their spouses, Wilson Jr. and Darlene Jeter, Humansville; Bernice and Charles Barnhouse, Bolivar, and Beverly and Ralph Bond, Henley; eight grandchildren, Wilto! n Jeter III, Wesley Jeter, Dorilene Koehler, Judy Morrison, Mark Bond, Wyatt Jeter, Becky Hall and Jay Jeter, and their spouses; 12 great-grandchildren; and two sisters in the state of California. Services were Tuesday, Jan. 11, in Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home, Osceola, with Wilton Jeter Jr. officiating. Music was "Look at Us" and "If I Could Hear my Mother Pray Again."
