(Some of you may receive duplicates of this message, if so, I am sorry but I had no other way to make sure that I contacted everyone whose email I still have) FROM: Julie Wollard Trout Dear Genealogy Buddies, Recently I lost all of my genealogy-related emails and research that I had worked on since September 2002. So, I am sorry for the mass email but if you have corresponded with me at [email protected] or [email protected] anytime between September 1, 2002 and August 1, 2003 concerning genealogy, I would so appreciate it if you could contact me again at [email protected] and let me know what we talked about. If you still have the original emails you sent me, that would be even better--please resend them and please include any emails where I replied to you. I save emails and file them on my computer with research but that's all gone, too. For some of you it has been SO long since we have been in contact that you may not remember who I am :-) If so, I would love to catch up with you concerning our common families. You can find out about my family tree at the links below. Needless to say, I will be backing up my computer weekly from now on. I hadn't done it because it is a pain to do and I was busy with two little kids, etc. etc. I learned my lesson! I hope you all don't EVER have to live through the same mistake. Thanks for understanding. Hello, I am researching my ROLAND family. My g grandfather Thomas Jefferson Roland was born in Boliver, Polk in 1868. His father was William Jasper Roland who was born in Indiana, and moved to Bourbon Co Kansas by the 1880 census. WJ's father is William Roland who was listed on the 1870 Polk Co. Census. Would love to hear from anyone researching this family. Patty Dingman
Elizabeth Bond Tuck was the daughter of Henry Bond and Charlotte Lee. She had one sister Ann who married Joseph Tucks brother William and one brother Benjamin who married Martha McClure. As for the other names, I don't know, I have not researched the later lines of Bonds. Only the earlier ones. Moses Cunnyngham Anderson was born 1812 died in 1869 of lead poisoning after painting Hickory Grove Church Cemetery where he is buried. His wife Rebecca L. Thompson is also buried there. The father of Moses C. Anderson was James Anderson. The Moses Anderson born 1870 is another person. Belle
Oh Sorry. I thought Mary Anderson had written me a private message. I wouldn't have gotten so personal if I realized it was going to the entire list. I'm new to this particular mail list. I'll be more careful next time. Belle
Mary, Who is your cousin in Springfield? I was just in Polk Co. and ran around with a cousin of yours Nancy Anderson Teaters, daughter of Finis Anderson and another descendant of Moses Cunnyngham Anderson. She was FABULOUS and we had a BALL!!!! I even placed flowers on Mose's grave. He is next to my great-great grandparents. I am confident that he was my GG Grandmother's first cousin. Belle is my screen name. Short for Suzybelle. My real name is Susan Bockoven I live in Louisville, KY and I would like to collect the names of descendants of Moses C. Anderson who are interested in genealogy. Maybe set up a email group........ Right now I am just home from Polk Co. Have not even written my thank you notes. Am leaving in 4 days for D.C. for a week and then on to Nashville. My husband is with the U.S. Army. Ordinarily I am at home most of the time although I am pretty tied up with taking care of my mother's affairs and spending at least 5 hours a day with her at the nursing home. This is just a window of opportunity to do genealogy that I am taking while I was accompanying my husband to Ft. Leonard Wood Missouri. Are you interested in doing research in Tennessee. Nancy and I have discussed going back next summer for a week or so. Susan
Is the person who owns the photo of the old Cary Hotel that is on the Polk Co. web site still on this list? Kay Griffin Snow, Polk Co., MOGenWeb, county coordinator http://www.rootsweb.com/~mopolk/
Grew up in Morrisville in the 40 & 50s. There is an old cemetery on the Old Mose Anderson Farm south east of Morrisville, remember it as a kid ,may be Anderson Family,Do you know about it. J.R.Smith
A Mose Anderson was a Bus Driver for Morrisville Schools in the 1940's. Don't know if more than one. rb
