    3. There has been a lot of activity re Slagle Cemetery so I will toss my question into the mix. Judith Acock, w/o Samuel Ross was born in 1785 in NC and died in Polk County, MO bef 1850. We think she is buried at Slagle Cemetery. She was mother of Robert Ross, who is called Elder. Robert is credited with being instrumental with the establishing of Slagle Baptist Church. We have photos of Robert and wife, Luraney,s, gravestones in Slagle Cemetery. There are some weathered stones near their graves that might be Judith's marker, but there is nothing legible on them. Is it possible that a cemetery book might have the location of her grave? Also, now that I have your attention, does someone have information re Luraney,s maiden name? Thank you, Wayne Smith, Kansas City, MO --- [email protected] wrote: > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/HMB.2ACE/1193.2 > > Message Board Post: > > I have the 1979 cemetery book at home (I'm at work right now). 2. Mount Zion Cemetery was relocated and graves all moved to Vaughn Cemetery in Dade County, about 3.75 miles NE of Greenfield. It was moved because of the Stockton Dam and Lake project. Before that it was near Aldrich. I have the cemetery book for Dade county. Found King, Roma , 1897-1929: Simmons, Wesley Duncan 1898-1900: Infant Mitchell, small marker, no dates: There are many unknown graves. Whoever was responsible for moving the graves sure didn't do a good job of keeping track of who was who. I have a Simmons and Mitchell in my Crain line.
