Wishart only has about four houses left. The cem. is east of Wishart on Farm Road 506,who are you looking for? J.R.Smith
does anyone know how big the town of Wishar,Mo is i was there in Aug. of this year and only saw 4 houses i ask some kids where the cemetery was they told me but i got lost and did not go back Bonnie
Actually Wishart has a few more than four houses, possibly as many as eight. I was there in July and took pictures. J.R., what do you consider the nearest cemetery? Just curious. I just found Wishart in July after driving around for more than an hour. The nearest cemetery that I am aware of is Enon but I can't remember what road it is on but I think it is east of Wishart. --- "J.R. You have asked that question on the Greene County list. We asked if you were talking about Wishart but you never answered. What would you like to know about Wishart? I don't know much about the history, however, my family was from the area and the majority of them are buried in Enon Cemetery just down the road. --- [email protected] wrote: > does anyone know how big the town of Wishar,Mo is i > was there in Aug. of this > year and only saw 4 houses i ask some kids where the > cemetery was they told > me but i got lost and did not go back Bonnie > > > ==== MOPOLK Mailing List ==== > Contact listowner: [email protected] > > Please change the subject line when the subject > changes > __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? We are looking for the descendants of Jesse W. Eagon that were born to James W. Eagon (who married Lucy Withrow), to Cynthia Ann Eagon (who married Pearl Gregg), and Sarah Eagon (who married Arch Richardson and possibly a Brown.) We understand that James W. I have the Polk County cemetery books and there is no McDaniel Cemetery, However, I did find Thomas and Nancy McDaniel in Anderson Cemetery. It is in Union Township, about 3.5 miles SW of Aldrich, 1/2 mile S of Highway T, and about 1/2 mile E of the line between Polk and Dade Counties. This is the info I found: McDaniel, Thomas, May 15, 1810 - Mar 24, 1889 (His DOB was listed as Mar 15, 1810, by Stephen Patterson and as May 15, 11810, by Mrs. Helen Mae Chappell.) McDaniel, Nancy 1811 - 1892. wife of Thomas (no stone) (Thomas McDaniel and Naancy McDaniel are great-great-grandparents of Stephen Patterson) McDaniel, William E. Feb 13, 1841 - Aug 25, 1882, son of Thomas and Nancy (no stone) (William E. and his wife, Melissa D. Pyland lived on a farm that was north of the Anderson Cemetery and probably jopined it.) McDaniel, Melissa D/ (Pyland) Mar 18, 1841 - 1881, wife of William E. (no stone) The book also states that one of the earliest burials that can be identified in this cemetery are Mrs. Martha Ann (McDaniel) Harper, who died Oct 1, 1872 Hope this helps you. I got the information from the Mollus web-site. They also have GAR pictures. I don't know about GAR posts at Bolivar or Pleasant Hope. I will ask the local historian since I live in Bolivar.
