    3. In Bolivar Cemetery is a John Hendricks. However, the dates are unreadable. His name, nearly unreadable, is on the top of a large vault made of rocks with a large flat rock over the top. This vault is similiar in size and shape as Gibson Hendricks. Note: A large piece of the large flat rock was broken off at the top, at the NW corner, and was lying agaainst the other piece in 1996. Information on Gibson Hendricks was in same condition as John Hendricks'. Info from Polk County Cemetery Books. He lived on property in the Jefferson Township, sections 21, 20 & 29 due west of Rondo and south of Flemington. Many of my other ancestors are buried in the Rondo cemetery, but G.D. seems to be the exception. He died between 1880 and 1900, but I am totally unsure as to the exact date. He was married to Mary Ann Jennings in Tazewell County, Illinois Jan 2, 1842. Some family history (erroneously) says he married her in Germantown, PA in 1839. Thanks for any help.

    3. Yes, I agree. When I visited there in July there were several newer looking cars in front of houses which means there are people living there. It looks like just a nice quiet neighborhood in the middle of the country. You might not even know it was a town unless you actually drove around. There is a church there although I'm not sure if they hold services. It looked to be in good condition so I'm guessing they do. --- "maggie ." <[email protected]> wrote: > And I would add that there are still many families > still living in Wishart > in many more than just four houses ... and I also > agree I think we've > discussed this at length before ... > > > >From: Carolyn Caplinger <[email protected]> > >Reply-To: [email protected] > >To: [email protected] > >Subject: Re: [MOPOLK] Wishar (Probably referencing > Wishart) > >Date: Wed, 8 Oct 2003 19:56:38 -0700 (PDT) > > > >You have asked that question on the Greene County > >list.
