The family was not in Arkansas or Tennesee. Later they moved to Atchison and Jefferson Counties in Kansas. In the census the following people are mentioned: Benjamin F Thompson 27 brickmason KY Margaret 21 MO Sarah 7 months MO Geo W 23 brickmason KY Demetrius 19 brickmason KY George and Demetrius are Benjamin's brothers. This is also the same family listed in Pettis Township on page 424 as follows: Benjamin Thompson 51 mason/farmer VA Nancy 40 KY Franklin 27 mason/farmer KY James 26 mason/farmer KY George W 23 mason/farmer KY Demetrius 19 mason/farmer KY John 16 mason/farmer KY Mary 14 KY Wm 12 KY Laura 9 KY Eliza 6 KY The Franklin is the Benjamin Franklin Thompson on page 350 in Lee Township. To make things really interesting George and Demetrius are also listed again in Lee Township on page 356 in the house of a Mose Burt along with a Clement Hooper (James Thompson married two of Clement's cousins later) Clement Hooper 22 laborer TN (in the household of Moses Burt) Geo W Thompson 23 laborer KY (in the household of Moses Burt) Demitrius 19 laborer KY (in the household of Moses Burt) I have a lot of information on this Thompson family but not too much information on Benjamin's children.
