Jackson and wife Syrenna (nee Vaughn) were living in Platte County in the 1850's. Oral history says George was killed in border skirmishes and Syrenna returned to Moniteau County, Missouri, with her 2 children Nancy and Caswell Jackson. I am trying to find out if they were in Platte County during the 1860 census or verify death of George W. in some way--cemetery records, etc. Thanks!
