Andrews and I have been attempting to track Jack's progress/postings on the internet. The family Jack was attempting to locate would be descendants of James Merriman Pemberton's brother, Stephen Pemberton, and wife, Sallie Rutherford. Stephen's son, John "Jack" Pemberton, was the father of F.M. Pemberton and F.M. Pemberton's mother of Martha Patsey Webster, a daughter of Christopher Webster. We had located F.M.(Frank) Pemberton, wife, and children on the 1880 census of Platte County, Pettis Twp. Frank and his wife, Louvinda Hargis Pemberton, were living in Howard County according to the 1860 census. They were married in Nov. 1859. I was hoping to find Frank and Louvinda on the 1870 census for Platte County, but I had little luck so far. Are you a Pemberton descendant? I am willing to exchange any family information.
