The members and ages of this family are reported in the 1870 census as follows: John Wood, 60 Annis Wood, 48 John R Wood, 29 Edward Wood, 20 (b: Dec 23, 1849 in George County, KY or King George County, VA) Sarah Wood, 16 Nancy Elisabeth Wood, 11 James Wood, 7 Joseph Wood, 5 Edward Wood married Eliza Jane Simmons on July 4, 1883 in Grant City, Worth County, MO. The obituary says the wife of John Wood was Anna; but, I have no surname. Eliza Jane Simmons (b: Sep 9, 1851) (d: Sep 20, 1940 in Grant City, Worth County, MO). Her parents were Joel and Nancy Jane. They lived in Andrew County, MO in the 1880's. Other brothers and sisters of Eliza Jane alive at the time of the funeral were: T A Simmons, Longmont, Colorado Everitt C.
