Hello All, I am looking for any information that might be helpful in finding the parents or relatives of my GGG Grandfather EDWARD SMITH. He was born in 1816 in NC and traveled to Platte Co. MO in 1837 according to the Paxton Annals. He was well educated and started a school in Greentownship section 35. He married Lucinda McCLAIN in 1841. Was a Justice of the Peace, farmer and teacher until he was killed in 1854 at age 38 in the BORDER WARS between KS and MO. He was drowned in the MO river. His children were Eliza m. Frank Morris, Edward Crawford m. Amelia Davis (my line), Martha m. Henry Conn, and Levi Dee m. Katie Jones. Edward's wife Lucinda remarried GEORGE MELLON in 1861. I am trying to find Edward Smith's parents in NC. Please contact me if you find any of this familiar.
