Hello listers, I have just subscribed to this list. I am looking for some guidance. One of our tenants left behind several notebooks containing his genealogy research when he moved into a rest home. Unfortunately, he seems to be in the beginning phases of Alzheimer's. His only daughter does not want these books and she put them in the trash to be disposed of. Understanding the amount of work that goes into genealogical research, I pulled the notebooks from the trash. Many of the family members seem to be from the Platte County area. I wondered if a genealogical society or another person interested in Platte County genealogy might be interested in these books or if they have any value for someone.
