Hi Phyllis, The Friends of the Clayton (genealogical society) here in Houston, Texas takes family histories such as the one you have, so I would think that contacting a Genealogical Society in Missouri would be your best bet. I am sure Platte County has one. I wonder if this "only daughter" has any children that may have an interest. I hear these stories often, and wonder why a person would feel this way. That is truly sad...especially for the father of this woman.
