I don't know which George McAfee he is referring to but it states that James McAfee, son of George, was guilty of murder at Joplin, MO and was sentenced to be hung on June 1, 1899. As I recall, there were 2 George McAfees in Platte around the same time. The one that Platte City stole their land from died without children I thought though. Anyway, let me know.
