    1. [MOPLATTE] Request of Chuck
    2. John W. Streeter
    3. My ancestor Hardy Platte (H. P.) Streeter, his wife Sophia Minona Clark Streeter, and their children appear in Parkville, Pettis Township, Platte Co., MO in the 1860 Federal Census. Hardy had a brother that may also have been in the vicinity at the time, Oscar S. Streeter, whose wife was Hannah. I would appreciate knowing if there is any information about either brother or any members of their families in the Annals of Platte County or its new Addendum. I believe that they arrived in the Leavenworth-Platte County area about 1857. Oscar and Hannah are buried at the Friends Church, Springdale in Leavenworth County, KS. H.P. and Sophia are buried in Topeka, Shawnee County, KS. H.P. and Sophia probably left Platte County in or about 1861 to go to the Topeka area, as he joined the Kansas Volunteer Cavalry in 1863 from that area. Their first few children were Marion (dau.), Benjamin, Julliette, Georganna. All of those came with them to the area, the next daugher is believed to have been born in Springfield, MO, March 1, 1859, but they still appeared in the 1860 Census. Their first child to be born in Topeka was 1862. Thanks for any information that you might be able to provide.
