There are many, many small family gravesites that are lost forever, sometimes found during excavation for various things. The tombstone for the founder of the town where I live was found by a resident digging next to his house to pour concrete. He is "believed" to be buried elsewhere, but that is the old Farley homestead. I hope you stumble across it someday. My immigrant ancestors grave was found on a hillside covered with heavy growth after 10 years of searching by an older relative back in the 60's. I wish you luck in your search.
