Hello List: It does appear that one needs to purchase the index of microfilm available at the State Historical Society of Missouri. I'll bet that some library has a copy, though. Try your local library and see if they can locate a copy and get it for you via interlibrary loan. Missouri isn't the only State that has limits. The Kansas State Historical Society limits interlibrary microfilm loans to 2 per person and it takes several weeks to get them. Then I just found out that they also have a limit of 8 films per library. So I am waiting for my turn to get my request processed. Then, when I get the films, I get 2 weeks to view them and no extension. Better than nothing, though.
