Hi! At the end of August I was in SLC for a couple of days and took the opportunity to look at the microfilmed probate records for Pike County, MO. I looked at the original of the "Peter Moss Est Bond of Administration" that was posted by Carol Tarpley Webster during the summer. I found in addition a small addition which is "Peter Moss Est Letter of Administration." My transcription of this is available if anyone is interested, although it doesn't add anything of genealogical value. But... while looking for Colvin information in the probate records (my Zerelda Moss married James E. G. Colvin) I happened accross (purely by accident) Guardian Bond records for the following children of Peter Moss: Surrepta, Emeline, Walter, David, Vince, Jefferson, Jacob, Malinda, Adaline, James and Zerilda. The bonds are NOT indexed by the childrens names, but by the names of the guardians, who include: Mason Rose, James H Mitchell and John A Woods. If anyone is interested in my transcriptions or microfilm roll and page #, I'll be happy to share. Jean

My great grandmother, Mary Prudence Carpenter McCardie, married a Clayton Colvin, probably in Pike around 1880. I have never studied this in detail but I have them having 2 children; Mary Caroline, and Bertha Lee. May be unrelated but thought I would throw it out there.
