Donna: A year or so ago, I bought a copy of the 1883, Pike County History Book from Missouri historical Printers, Box 427, Marceline, MO 64658. Apparently, they saw me coming as it cost me $200 for the reprint. Actually, at over 1000 pages and the great index, it was still well worth it in my research of the Cunningham, Watson and Jordan families (1808-1883, in Pike Co, MO). I have been researching Pike Co, MO for about 15 years, and have made several week long trips there; it is a beautiful place to research and be. If you reprint the book, anywhere near the costs you think it might be, I would buy three more copies so I could pass one each down to my children. Is the Pike County MO Historical Society becoming active again? A few years ago, when in Louisiana, I could not locate anyone very active at the time. I'll gladly pay for a book. Let me know when to send money and I'll do it. Bob Francis
