Carol, Are you referring to the People, Places and Pikers? If so you will find some repeat of information but not alot. The 1883 has alot more history on the county itself, several pages on the Civil war in Pike and the men who served, the townships are listed individually with biographical sketches for each township. I find my book an invaluable research source.
