Hi, friends, I am seeking a divorce record in Pike Co. (or possibly Audrain Co.) some time between 1900 census and late 1903: Nathaniel and Rachel Westerman. They were together in the 1900 census in Audrain Co.; by 1904, Nathaniel has been remarried for six mos., and dies in a work related accident. What a surprise! No one in my family knew about the second marriage. Either there was a divorce from his wife of more than 30 yrs or he became a bigamist! (Wife #1 didn't die unti 1910) Does anyone have access to the Pike and/or Audrain Co. courthouses where divorce recs 1900-1903/4 might be kept? It has to have been within that small timeframe.
