    3. Karen, do you know about the Message Boards at ancestry.com and other sites? I didn't discover these for a long time and had some good hits as soon as I found them. You can leave messages that will stay there for years, unlike a mail list like this where you have to hope they aren't out of town that day. You can also search for others who have left messages. You can do it by name, by county. Try it with just the surname, or with an initial and the surname. I am always amazed at what works. I have periodically searched for my George Washington Stevens, never found him. Yesterday, I went looking for his brother Frank on the Stevens message board, and put in the key words "Louisiana" and "Missouri" as he was born in Louisiana MO. Lo and behold, who pops up but George! and someone had left a nice fat obit for him. Good luck, Nancy

    3. Nancy, I have a Johnson S STEVENS who married my great grandmother's twin sister, Sarah Collins CULWELL on 4 Feb 1867 in Adams Co Illinois. Johnson was born in 1843 in Kentucky and died 16 Mar 1893. He was buried in Siloam Cemetary Pike Co MO. In 1892 he was living in Estes Pike Co MO.
