Just wanted to remind everyone that the cut off date for ordering the 1883 History of Pike Co. is Sept. 15. If we do not have at least 200 books sold by then we will not be reprinting. There is a printable order form at: http://www.pastracks.com/pcgs/files/1883_history.htm or you can send a check for $70.00 to the Pike Co. Genealogical Society, PO Box 313 Bowling Green, Mo. 63334. Please note on check that it is for the 1883 History. If we get enough orders, we will not be printing very many books over the amount sold so it is very important to order at the prepublication price. Hope to receive your order soon. Donna, publications chair, Pike Co. Genealogical Society
Hi Donna, I want to make sure I understand your email. Are you saying there will be no books printed if there are not 200 orders? If so, will you just be holding the checks and mailing them back if that is the case. I know there was discussion on this some time back but I don't remember what exactly was said. I will be ordering two books but do not want to count on giving one as a gift if there is a chance there will be no printing. Thanks, Chuck McCardie The older I get, the better I was! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Donna Darnell" <mgarage@daffron.net> To: <MOPIKE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, July 31, 2002 5:19 PM Subject: [MOPIKE-L] 1883 history of Pike Co.
