Right, that's what's got me exctied--we have always been told that she was born in MO, but this one in IL is so close to her father's birthplace, it makes me wonder if IL could possibly have been part of MO back then? This would be 1883. The Mississippi River separates Pleasant Hill, Il & Louisiana, Mo & the river is quite wide at this location with Mo bluffs at Louisana & Pleasant Hill, Il located on the Illinois bluffs so don't believe Pleasant Hill, Il would ever have been in Missouri since it became a village. ----- Original Message ----- From: "the Hamiltons" <hamilton@getus.com> To: <MOPIKE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, July 08, 2002 12:24 PM Subject: Re: [MOPIKE-L] Pleasant Hill in Pike CO? > Right, that's what's got me exctied--we have always been told that she was > born in MO, but this one in IL is so close to her father's birthplace, it > makes me wonder if IL could possibly have been part of MO back then?
