    1. [MOPIKE-L] Marriage records ca.1884
    2. Mary Henderson
    3. Hi! Does anyone have the wherewithal to lookup a marriage record from about 1884? I'm looking for the marriage of Drucilla KEITHLY. I'm not sure of the groom's name. She was married sometime around 1884 - give or take a year. In 1880, she was living in Peno, Pike Co., MO with her father, Eli KEITHLY. Thanks very much! Their dau, Nettie Turpin, born Feb 1854 in Pike Co., MO. Glad to have any info on these families. Thank you, Donna Cuillard

    1. [MOPIKE-L] Turpin-Gladney-Beasly
    2. Seeking info on Nettie Turpin, born 22 Feb 1854 in Pike Co., MO. She is the dau of William B. or Josiah Turpin & Isobel (possibly Janetta) Beasl(e)y. I located Nettie on the 1860 census for Calumet Twp., Pike Co., MO as a child age 6, living with Charles Gladney age 32 born MO and his wife (I cannot read the wife's name). I am not sure if this is her mother, Janetta, married a second time to Charles Gladney? There is a Jane Beasly age 58 born VA with a Martha age 23 & Rosella age 17 living next door to Charles Gladney. Not sure if there is a connection. Thanks, Donna Cuillard

    1. [MOPIKE-L] Branstetters/Woodsons/Farmers
    2. crice
    3. The following was just kindly sent to me by a descendent through the Farmer line. I wanted to share this with the list since I had been posting regarding Michael Branstetter who is a son of the Henry Clay Branstetter and Catherine Jane Woodson below. Thanks. Anne Allen WOODSON married Jane "Jennie" TAYLOR. They had Allen WOODSON b 1793 and Stephen WOODSON b 1802. Allen WOODSON b 1793 married Nancy FARMER. They had Jane WOODSON who married John S. BRANSTETTER. Stephen WOODSON b 1802 married Selina POSEY. They had Catherine Jane WOODSON who married Henry Clay BRANSTETTER. So Jane WOODSON and Catherine Jane WOODSON were first cousins through their WOODSON fathers. . But more than that. Nancy FARMER was a daughter of Marlin FARMER and Betsy ECHOLS. Marlin was a son of James FARMER and Jane AIKEN. Selina POSEY was a daughter of Jensie FARMER and Robert POSEY. Jensie was a daughter of James FARMER and Jane AIKEN. So Jane WOODSON and Catherine Jane WOODSON were also related (second cousins right?) through the FARMER line, in addition to the WOODSON line.

He has Mary C's parents as John S Branstetter and Jane Woodson m. 21 Mar 1837 Pike Co. He has further info. on these parents and he traces both Branstetter lines back further. Anne

    1. [MOPIKE-L] Birthday card from the President...
    2. Dixie Lea
    3. Hi, I don't know how "off topic" this will be, but, I'll risk it... Birthday cards can be sent from the White House to people celebrating their 80th birthday, or more. Anniversary cards are available for couples married 50 years or longer... Requests must be received at least one month in advance... To request these cards, send the name(s) and and address of the honoree(s) and the date of the event to: GREETING OFFICE WHITE HOUSE 1600 PENNSYLVANIA AVE. WASHINGTON, D.C. 20500-0000 This is not a hoax... I did this for my Grandmother, 3 or 4 times... and, a 3rd cousin that was up in years... both lived to be 93 years old... (1998) I miss my Granny very much... Dixie Lea in K.C...
