Searching for a Mary or Polly Ann Fox that married a James William Grass about 1865. , Or any Fox familys in the area at that time, or later. It is possible that Mary or Polly Ann Fox was a full blooded Cherokee. Thank You, Georgia
Marilyn, Thanks for picking up the ball in reference to 'Missouri Pioneers...' It's a fine resource, and I appreciate your part in making it available. Leah

I have noticed that there are several messages regarding Mo Pioneers of Pike Co and have posted a mesage to the Pike CO Genealogical Society Message Board, regarding who the current publishers are. My husband and I owned Infotech Publicatons at the time the book was published. We compiled it from all the other books of Missouri Records that were authored by Audrey Woodruff. and Nadine Hodges. Infotech no longer publishes in the Genealogical Field. Boyd Publishers of Milledgeville, GA now has that and all of the other Mo Genealogical Records Books that Infotech sold, as well as many others in Mo and the rest of the country. John, I was looking up names for others, and I noticed MANY Branstetters in the marriage records. I appreciate any Index, but obviously this one is far from complete. I wish I had the time to go over it and find them all for you. You may want to see if you can find this book in the library or order it through a library exchange Leah

Leah, Thanks for taking the time to send the information from the book. It is appreciated. Rick
John, No need to apologize - we're all just here to search, and help where we can. FYI, This particular book is *not* the reprint that has been talked about lately. I hope to get one of those myself, but this is different - refer to the message I wrote earlier today w/ the ISBN in the subject line for information on this reference. As for your questions - No Knapps. Branstetter: p. 70, Fred, J.F. and B.F. were members of the Agricultural and Mechanical Society of Pike County, formed in 1866, chartered June 1867. There were several Inlo, Inlow, Inlowe 's: p. 23, 42, 50, 59, 63, 68 Araham S. Inlow 10 Nov 1837 (sic) Marriages of Permilia M , Sally Ann, John E. (twice) Martha E. And last, H. T. Inlow, listed as a JP Found a Branstetter not in the inde:x marriage on p. 50 - Frederick to Sary Vannoy 2 Mar 1845 good luck, Leah
Hello, Beryl. For more info on this reference, please read my mail 'Missouri Pioneers' posted earlier today. There were no Manwarings but Glasscock was listed on p. 41& 57. 41: Marriage Book A p. 38 Jefferson Glascock Married Elizabeth Dismukes 12 March 1840 (one of my ancestors' siblings married a Dismukes in Pike Co...) 57: As above, p. 192 Wm McEwing Keithly m. Mahala Glasscock 6 March 1848 Good luck, Leah
Greg, Hope you noted the info on this reference I posted earlier today, as there may be plenty for you here. My time is limited, so if you can give me some given names, I'll do what I can. In the meantime........ INDEX Cunningham: 20, 39, 43, 49, 56, 58 Watson: 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 10, 11, 18, 20, 25, 28, 31, 32, 36, 38, 39, 40, 45, 69, 76 PS Do by any chance know of a Marcellus 'Red' Watson, a military man from Missouri born in the early 20's? (unlikely, I know, but nothing ventured....) Leah
Clarifying the Pike County reference I referred to in my response to (originally) Rick Cole. I do not remember from where I ordered this book, but it has a copyright date of 1992 by InfoTech Publications, P O Box 86, Bowling Green, MO 63334. It has 92 pages (including a 9 page index) of a combination of records from Marriage Book "A", Wills & Admin "A" Court Records 1821-1825, the McDannold Cemetery, and info On Hartford Township. And a little more. Though I would normally be happy to give detailed information, I am in the process of moving (a lifetime of memorys) into a knapsack and out of the country. Time is short and there is much to do. So a synopsis is about the best I can do. Leah: In the book, "Missouri Pioneers of Pike Co." could you please tell me if any MOSS are in the index? Greatly appreciate your time. Thank you, Naoma
There has been several references to the Index - is it on line so one can check it? I have a Thomas Manwaring and wife Martha ? that I found in a land transaction in 1870's and would like to check for them. Also have lot of Glascocks.
