Surnames: Patterson, Springer, Brown Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.missouri.counties.pettis/3532/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am searching for Daisy Belle (Patterson) Brown. What I know of her is as follows:She was born July 19, 1879 to Edgar Thomas Patterson and Sarah Ann Springer. She married Fremont John Brown on November 3, 1898 in Jonesville, Hillsdale County, Michigan. She had two children: Anson R. Brown born July 3, 1901 and Daisy Annabelle Brown born January 28, 1905. Daisy Annabelle was born in Sedalia, Pettis County, Missouri. Daisy Belle died sometime in 1905. According to family, in Missouri. Her body being brought back to Hillsdale, Hillsdale County, Michigan for burial. According to the book, "Descendants of Elizabeth Griffen" Daisy Belle died January 31, 1906 in Velda, Michigan. I have searched and searched for Velda, Michigan and have never found any town past or present by this name in Michigan. However there is in Missouri and have come to the conclusion that it could have been a type error saying MI instead of MO. They are right next to each other on the keyboard. It was not u! ntil I found someone else who had posted her dying in Velda, Missouri (everyone else was fine with the fact that their information was incorrect because they weren't direct ancestors) that I thought that I should ask someone to look this up. I would like if someone can search obits for me in the newspaper between January 28, 1906 and February 5, 1906 and see if it makes any reference to Daisy Belle dying the day of or days after childbirth. In exchange I am willing to do a lookup for Hillsdale or Branch County Michigan.
For what it's worth, therewas a community several miles south of Sedalia, known as Valda or White's Station.. There is nothing there today but it once had a railroad depot on the old Sedalia, Warsaw and Southwestern RR. ----- Original Message ----- From: <gc-gateway@rootsweb.com> To: <MOPETTIS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, February 18, 2007 10:32 AM Subject: [MOPETTIS] Sedalia, Pettis County, MO Obit Lookup > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: Patterson, Springer, Brown > Classification: queries > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.missouri.counties.pettis/3532/mb.ashx > > Message Board Post: > > I am searching for Daisy Belle (Patterson) Brown.
