    2. Obituary - Sedalia Democrat, 23 June 1944 Lewis A. McMullin Lewis Alben McMullin, 79 years old, well known resident of the Beaman community, died at the Bothwell Hospital, at 9:40 o'clock this morning. He had been ill for about four months. Mr. McMullin was born in Allen County, Ohio, April 30, 1865, the son of the late Fayette and Hannah McMullin. He came to Missouri with his parents when he was nine years old and had resided continuously in the Beaman community. November 6, 1892, he was married to Miss Cevia A. DeWitt at Beaman. To this union eight children were born, one of who died in infancy. Mr. McMullin was a member of the Lamine Baptist Church and, for the past 35 years, had served as deacon in that church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cevia McMullin; three daughters, Mrs. T. M. Retherford, Mrs. George Deuschle of Beaman, Mrs. Adolph Selbach, Pilot Grove; four sons, E. D. McMullin, Sedalia, L. F. McMullin, J. F. McMullin, and L. D. McMullin of Beaman; and one brother, F. O. McMullin route 3, Sedalia. Twenty-five grandchildren also survive and four great grandchildren. Three of the grandsons are in the armed forces, two of whom are serving overseas. The body is at the Ewing Funeral Home and will be taken to the family home near Beaman at 9 o'clock Saturday morning.
