    2. Obituary - Sedalia Democrat, 22 March 1981 George M. Putnam OTTERVILLE -George M. Putnam, 91, died at 12:45 p.m. Friday. He was born in Cooper County Jan. 13, 1890, son of John Maynard and Elizabeth Ranz Putnam. She was born June 13, 1897, at Climax Springs, daughter of Robert S. and Gillie Cole Roe. On Dec. 30, 1915, in Bunceton, he married Grace Bell Roe, who died Oct. 23, 1975. Mr. Putnam was a farmer, and a member of the Syracuse Baptist Church and State Fair Saddle Club. Survivors include four sons, George M. Putnam, 1801 East Harvey; Thomas J. Putnam, 1422 South Beacon; Wilbur C. Putnam, Chillicothe, Mo.; James Roe Putnam, Springfield, Mo.; four daughters, Marjorie Cummings, 902 Sylvia Drive, Sedalia; Gladys Bell Putnam, Tipton; Martha Bell Schultz, Route 3; Connie Louise Brummet, 1020 South Harrison; one sister, Mrs. Florence Hutchison, Pilot Grove; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services, under the direction of the Ewing Funeral Home, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Syracuse Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Payne officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Otterville. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family suggests memorials to the Syracuse Baptist Church or the Children's Therapy Center. Obituary - Sedalia Democrat, 26 October 1975 Mrs. Grace Bell Putnam OTTERVILLE - Mrs. Grace Bell Putnam, 78, died Thursday night at Bothwell Hospital, Sedalia. She was born June 13, 1897, at Climax Springs, daughter of Robert S. and Gillie Cole Roe. She was married on Dec. 30, 1915, at Bunceton, to George Putnam, and he survives of the home here. She was a resident of the Otterville and Syracuse areas all her life and was a member of the Syracuse Baptist Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons, George Maynard Putnam, Route 3, Sedalia; Thomas Joe Putnam, Otterville; Wilbur Carl Putnam, Chillicothe; James Roe Putnam, Springfield; four daughters, Mrs. Marjorie E. Cummings, 902 Sylvia Drive, Sedalia; Gladys Bell Putnam, Tipton; Mrs. Ed (Connie Louise) Brummet, 1020 South Harrison, Sedalia; and Mrs. Martha Schultz, Walnut Hills; two brothers, Joe Roe, Topeka, Kan., and True Roe, Roanoke, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Addie Gander, Topeka, Kan.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Syracuse Baptist Church with the Rev. M. W. Hodge officiating. The Rev. Gary Payne will assist. Burial will be in the Otterville IOOF Cemetery here. The body will lie in state at the Painter-Woodard Funeral Home here until 1 p.m. Sunday.
