Obituary - Sedalia Democrat, 18 November 1923 Mrs. Rose E. Gehringer Mrs. Rosie Elizabeth Gehringer, aged 34 years, wife of Theodore Gehringer, of 2309 South Kentucky Avenue, died at their home at 9:30 o'clock Friday evening following an illness of several weeks. Death was due to lung trouble. Mrs. Gehringer was near Pilot Grove, Cooper County, December 29, 1888, and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Deuschle. She was reared at that place, removing to this city some years ago. Surviving is her husband; her father Jacob Deuschle, of 309 East Seventh Street; and two brothers, Arthur D. and George Deuschle residing near Pilot Grove. The funeral will be held at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon at St. Paul's Evangelical Church, Pilot Grove, the Rev. C. Miller to officiate. Interment will be in Pilot Grove cemetery. Obituary - Sedalia Democrat, 11 February 1941 Charles E. Knox Charles E. Knox, of Beaman, died this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. David Cramer, 915 East Boonville Street, where he had been ill for two weeks. Mr. Knox was born in Taney County, August 4, 1879, and had spent the greater part of his life in and around Smithton. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lulu Knox; his daughter, Mrs. Cramer; three sons, Chester, Beaman, George K., of the home address, and John Knox, of Sedalia, route 4; four grandchildren; four brothers, Will K. Knox, Nebraska, Theodore Knox, Pasadena, Calif., George Knox, Columbus, Mont., who arrived in Sedalia Monday, and Roy Knox; and three half-brothers, Eddie, Joe, and Bert Knox, all of Kansas City. The body was taken to the McLaughlin Chapel and back to the Cramer home this afternoon. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, but definite plans are not complete. Obituary - Sedalia Democrat, 14 June 1948 Mrs. Charles Knox Mrs. Charles Knox, 58 years old, died at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. David Cramer, 415 North Engineer Avenue at 4:30 o'clock Monday morning. Mrs. Knox was born Miss Lulu May Gehringer, January 5, 1880. She spent most of her life in and around Clifton City until five years ago, when she came to Sedalia to live with her daughter. Her husband preceded her in death February 11, 1941 She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. David Cramer, 415 North Engineer Avenue; three sons, Chester Knox and George Knox of the Beaman community, and John Knox, of Sedalia, route 5; three sisters, Mrs. Zeta Potter and Mrs. Tillie Needy of Clifton City, and Mrs. Bertie Potter of Otterville; four brothers, Theodore Gehringer of Columbia, Dewey Gehringer of New York, Jim Gehringer of Sedalia, and Lafe Gehringer of South Dakota; five grandchildren; and one great grandson. Mrs. Knox was a member of the Sedalia Baptist Church. The body will be taken to the family home this evening where it will remain until the time of the funeral services, at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the McLaughlin Funeral Chapel. Rev. W. P. Arnold will officiate. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
