He and his brother, Ruel, went back home to Pecatonica,Illinois and enlisted as did the rest of his brothers. Chester joined the Seventy-fourth Illinois Infantry, Aug 21, 1862. He was discharged March 23,1863 disabled and died in 1865 in Pettis Co, Missouri. I have sent for his probate record so I will let you know what else I find out about him.
