    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Fowler/Sawyer/Turner/Powell Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/FMB.2ACE/409.582.1.1 Message Board Post: William R. Fowler is the son of Joseph Sawyer Fowler and Ann Johnson who were married in Clark Co Kentucky 1818. (Joseph Sawyer Fowler and Ann Johnson are my 4th great grandparents) William R. Fowler is the brother of my 3rd great grandmother Carolyn Fowler who married Nathan Clinton Turner. Ann Johnson is the dtr of William Thomas Johnson and Eleanor Turner (my 5th great grandparents and Eleanor is also my 5th great grandaunt!!), dtr of Thomas Turner and Catherine Smith. Thomas Turner and Catherine Smith also had a son William Turner who married Elizabeth Crook (my line) William Turner and Elizabeth Crook had son Nathan Clinton Turner who married Carolyn Fowler, dtr of Joseph Sawyer Fowler and Ann Johnson. Joseph and Ann are my 4th great grandparents. Nathan Clinton Turner and Carolyn Fowler had dtr Tillitha Ann Turner born 5 Sept 1849 d. 8 Jan 1914 Sturgis, South Dakota and she married William H. Powell, who are my 2nd great grandparents. Their daughter Luella Powell married Charles William Gardner and had Flossie Gardner who married Ugene E. Whitaker and had my dad Clarence Ugene Whitaker aka Charles Eugene Oyler, who was put up for adoption in 1919 by Flossie after Ugene Whitaker died. Flossie later married Frank Parks and lived in Kansas City, Kansas. Now I found some information about the parents of Joseph Sawyer Fowler on LDS site that stated his parents were John Fowler and Hannah Sawyer. I haven't been able to find a thing other than the fact they may have had another son Landon Fowler who was born abt 1803 Kentucky and married Sarah Osten in Boone Co Missouri 10 Jan 1832. Landon lived in Cass Co. Missouri up until 1860 for sure, but then I can't find him after that, but some of his kids still lived there through 1880's I think it was. I just wonder if this John C and Jackson might be brothers of Joseph Sawyer Fowler. Will do some searching and see what I find. You might want to tell me what else you know about the others, that might help. What family of Fowler's do you descend from? Carolyn Whitaker
