Fowler. I suspect John C. Fowler is brother of Jackson H. Peter Fowler because a Robert Fowler signed a deed to BOTH John C. Fowler and Jackson H. Fowler in 1843 Osage Co. MO. I had wondered if my John C. Fowler might be son or nephew of your Joseph Sawyer Fowler? John C. Fowler was born @1818 KY married Olivia Heath (b. @1821-1824 KY or IN pob & age varies on Census records) in Jan. 1843 Gasconade Co. MO. They had children: Ellen Fowler b. @1843 MO D. William Fowler b. @1845 MO (my gr. grandpa) Isabella Fowler b. @1850 MO Mary "Molly" Ann Fowler b. @1855 TX Olivia Fowler b. @1864 (?) TX John C. Fowler moved a lot. 1850 Saline Co. Distr. 90, MO 1860 Denton Co., Stewart Creek, TX 1870 Newton Co., Granby Twp., MO 1880 Searcy Co., Bear Creek, AR He died in AR Dec. 1877 My D. William Fowler married Cassandra Minerva Jane Enterprise Goodman in 1878 in Van Buren Co. AR. I suspect it was his 2nd marriage as he was pretty long in the tooth in 1878 and so many women died in childbirth back then. Will and Cass had 1 son, John Henry Fowler b. Jan. 1880 Searcy Co. AR then D. Will Fowler died prior to 1884 because Cass married again 1884. John Henry Fowler married twice, my Grandma was his 2nd wife and he was her 2nd husband as she was a widow with 2 small sons. She was Elizabeth "Liza" Jane Raulston (1) Jones and they married as soon as his divorce was final, he said his first wife, Mary M. Dean had desserted him a few years prior and he did not know where she was (per divorce papers). John Henry & Liza Fowler had 8 children, one was my Father, Guy Leslie "Les" Fowler b. 1914 AR, m. Cynthia Lorene "Lo" Aylor b. 1916 TX and they produced me and 3 more, only 2 of us survived to adulthood. I suspect John C. Fowler's brother was Jackson H. Peter Fowler, b. 1815 KY, who was in Osage Co. MO 1860 Census. I never located him on the 1850 Census. He was a boatman. He was baptised Catholic in adulthood in the St. Josephs Church where I suspect he picked up the middle name Peter. I think he may have become Catholic in order to marry Josephine Goellner which he did not too long after being baptised. I do not know who his first wife was or when or where he married the first time. He is buried in Osage Co., MO at St. Josephs. I would be happy to mail you my information if you send me your snail mail address to my email address [email protected] It would take too long to type it all and I cannot scan. I had THOUGHT maybe Joseph Sawyer Fowler b. 1791 KY was son of Jerimiah Fowler b. @1745 and was in Madison Co. KY but I was guessing because that Joseph had Nieces who married and lived in Boone Co. MO. Boone Co. MO appeared to be where Joseph Fowler was when he bought the land in Pettis Co. MO. But I am doing this from memory and I may be wrong, which would not be the first time. I have not looked at that reasearch in a long while. I have looked for a long time to locate whether the Robert Fowler in Pettis was related to Joseph Fowler in Pettis but I cannot locate where EITHER is related to my John C. Fowler but there was a Robert Fowler who signed some land in Osage Co. MO over to John C. Fowler and Jackson H. Fowler in 1843. Boone Co. MO is between Pettis & Osage Co. MO. Oct. 1, 1840 Gasconade Co. MO Robert Fowler of Montogomery Co. Mo bought 40 acres (doc. 9509, Serial MO0710_210). Gasconade Co. Mo is right next to Osage Co. MO. Nov. 10, 1841 PETTIS Co. MO Joseph Fowler of BOON Co. MO purchased 10 acres #17395 Ser. MO2820_210. I just wondered if the many Fowler's in the area were from Madison Co. KY where there were so many Fowlers settled. I got much of my Madison Co. KY info from the Roots Web World Connect of Barry Shanley & some others. I was looking for my own John C. Fowler, of course, and I never located him. I had just tried to fit it all together in my mind but it is hard to do with so MANY different men with the same old names. I would be happy to share what I have located with you. Charlene
