Bacon is in the 1870 census living in Sedalia with his wife, Maria, 29 years old, born in Missouri; 4 year-old son (name looks like Monta); and 2 year-old daughter, Mary (or May) A. Both children were born in Missouri. Bacon is shown as being 30 years old and born in Kentucky. Marilyn Lane
