This was received off list. Is there anyone who can help point this person in the right direction? Cathy I am researching a book on World War 1 that involves a resident of Sedalia, Missouri. His name was Colonel John H. Parker. Colonel Parker retired to Sedalia in the 1920's after an illustrious 30 year career in the U.S. Army. I would appreciate any information that you might have on this individual. My research shows that he did not have any children, so whatever contacts today would be surviving nephews, nieces, etc. Colonel Parker was a member of the 26th "Yankee" Division, the first National Guard division to fight in World War 1. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross 3 times for valour. I would be very grateful if you could forward this email to anyone in the city who would help me with this research objective. Thank you very much. Terry Finnegan [email protected]
