Obituary - Sedalia Democrat, 2 August 1928 George W. Potter George W. Potter, 84, died at 5:30 o'clock Wednesday morning at his home five miles north of Clifton City. Death was caused by general debility. He is survived by his widow, three sons, Grant, John, and Samuel, and four daughters, Mrs. Little Wood, Mrs. Nellie Durley, Mrs. Jane Fair, and Ruth Wallace. All are of the Clifton City neighborhood, with the exception of Mrs. Wood, who lives at Exeter, Calif. He is also survived by thirty-three grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren, and three brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held at the Lamine church at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon. The Rev. Zeb Thomas will be in charge of the services. Mr. Potter had lived in the Clifton City neighborhood since some time prior to the Civil War and has many relatives and friends there.
