Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/FMB.2ACE/1400.1 Message Board Post: When I saw the name "Mohuken" I suspected it was a misreading of the north German surname Mahnken, as the first N is often mistaken for a U when written, and a published list shows: "Ernest Wells and Katie Mahnken, both of Sedalia, 30 June 1885 by J. B. Fuller, Pastor First Baptist Church." There were Mahnken families in Benton, Pettis, and Morgan Counties, but I don't find a Kate (Katherine, etc) offhand who isn't otherwise accounted for.
