POTTER FUNERAL RITES ARE HELD AT SEDALIA Former Cooper County Farmer And School Teacher Buried Saturday at Pettis County Seat Funeral services were held Saturday at the Gillespie Funeral home at Sedalia for A. C. Potter, former prominent Cooper County farmer of near Clifton City. The services were conducted by the Rev. Summers, pastor of the Calvary Church. Burial was in Crown Hill cemetery, Sedalia. Potter was the son of the late William and Hannah Potter and was born April 7, 1849 in Johnson County. When but a child he moved with his parents to a farm near Clifton City, where he resided until 18 years ago. Since then he has resided at 519 East Fifth Street, Sedalia. He taught school for a number of years and is well-known in Cooper and Pettis counties. He was married January 1, 1902, to Miss Julia Frank of Clear Creek, who survived with two children; Orson Potter and Mrs. Clarence Bates, both of Sedalia. He is also survived by the following brothers: Joe, of Sedalia; William, of Windsor; Nelson, J. L., and the Rev. Thomas Potter, all of St. Louis.
