Obituary - Sedalia Democrat, 21 March 1963 Lee Miles DeWitt Lee Miles DeWitt, 62, 119 East Walnut, died at his home at 11 p.m. Wednesday. He had been ill for the past month. He was born in Pettis County in the Beaman community, July 26, 1900, the son of the late Benjamin F. and Delia Fay Ross DeWitt. He lived all of his life in Pettis County and in Sedalia. One of a family of five children, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Benjamin F. DeWitt, John E. DeWitt and Newton DeWitt. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Ada F. Bennett, Vandalia, Mo. Funeral services will at the Ewing Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Henry Hansen, pastor of the Emmett Avenue Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Potter Cemetery.
