Obituary - Sedalia (Missouri) Capital, 6 January 1906 DEATH OF J. H. POTTER Aged Resident of Otterville Passed Away Friday Morning Jabez H. Potter died at his home near Otterville Friday morning at 2 o'clock, aged 91 years. Mr. Potter had been in poor health for some time and his death was not unexpected. The deceased was a native Missourian and for many years a prominent and esteemed member of the Masonic order. For more than thirty years he had resided on the farm where he died. He was the owner of a general merchandise store in Otterville and also valuable farming lands and property in this city. A widow and five children survive him as follows: David and Miss Nellie, who reside at home; Mrs. Susan Adams, of Stony Point; James E., engaged in business at Clifton City; and George, residing on a farm near Otterville. Robert, another son, died a few months ago. The funeral services will be held under the auspices of the Masons at 12 o'clock today and he will be laid to rest in the Otterville cemetery.
