    2. Obituary - Sedalia Democrat, 26 February 1988 Letha A. McMullin Letha A. McMullin, 76, Route 5, died Thursday night, Feb. 25, 1988, at Bothwell Regional Health Center. She was born July 8, 1911, in Beaman, Mo., the daughter of John J. and Jennie Lee Fair Potter. On Aug. 28, 1928, in Beaman, she married John Fayette McMullin, who died Aug. 15, 1982. Mrs. McMullin was a member of Lamine Baptist Church and the Loveless Extension Club. She was a homemaker and had lived in the Sedalia area all her life. Survivors include three sons: John E. McMullin, Smithton; Donald E. McMullin, Sedalia; Claude McMullin, Houstonia; five daughters, Jo Ann Birdsong and Mildred Walter, both of Sedalia; Kay Hepburn, Route 5; Vivian Gertson, Branson, Mo.; Viola Jasloski, Warren, Mich.; a foster daughter, Charlene Thomas, Oak Grove, Mo.; a brother, Frank Potter, Oklahoma City, Okla.; 29 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Heckart-Gillespie Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Ted Graham officiating. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be in Potter Cemetery, Cooper County. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
