Marriage Book B, pp. 111-112 SCRUGGS - HONCY This Indenture made and entered into this 21st day of April A.D. 1856 between Margaret P. Honcy of the County of Bourbon and State of Kentucky of the first part and Allen F. Scruggs of the County and State aforesaid of the second part. Witnesseth: That Whereas the Party of the first part engages and binds herself in good faith to become on the 22nd day of April A.D. 1856 the lawful wedded wife of the party of the second part, and to perform all the duties demanded by that relation to him and their joint family and interest. The party of the second part binds himself and his heirs and assigns by these presents not to claim or to take to his use in law or otherwise any moneys, bonds or obligations for money or any other valuables, lands, tenements, or any other property, personal or real, which the party of the first part may be in possession of at the time of her marriage with the party of the second part. And the party of the second part hereby reliquishes all claim to c! ontrol the property which may be in the possession of the party of the first, any farther than she may permit and request him so to do in her own right and voluntary choice.
