He was murdered by his son joseph in sedalia, missouri in 1894. I have conflicting dates, penitentiary records have joseph in jail for murder, sentenced march 19, 1894 (noting he has no parents), but an article from there hometown in ohio is dated december of 1894. It may be it just took time for the news to reach ohio. If anybody can help me with this, it would be greatly appreciated.
