I recently located census records from 1860 which does show that John H. and Gesche Blohm did live with them for a time. The Holtzen farm is still in the family today. I'm just getting started researching the Holtzen family but according to papers of my grandmother's Tipke was born in Hanover Germany in 1816 and died August 19, 1884. If you are still researching let me know. I'll share any information I might have. Do you know the names of the other children of John H. and Gesche?
