Unfortunately, I do not have anything on any of those people in my database. I do have a Grace Mason who married a Holman. My best advice is the census' at this point, each and every year tracking them. Remember to look at the neighbors of those known relatives because my Great Grandfather Parker Varnum Brown was living a few houses away from my GGgrandfather Melton. Problem was they'd enumerated him under the name Walter Parker. Good Luck, Judy

She married a McKinney. Children were Gerald and Margaret. They lived at one time in Sheridan, Wyoming (the photo I have of the family shows having been made in Sheridan, Wyoming). The photo also has written on it, cousin of Ethel Murray was born in Centertown? Missouri. She married in Sedalia, Missouri or California, Missouri. Ethel's sister Mary Estella Murray married a Robertson/Robinson who may have lived in Missouri, Illinois or Kansas. The other sister is Alma. Stella and Robertson had a daughter Margaret Robertson. A couple of photos I have of a gentleman says Clarence or Edward ??? Robertson. Could be Clarence Edward Robertson. Mary Estella Murray was born about 1886 Ethel Murray was born about 1883 Alma Murray was born about 1888 all living in Missouri. Father may have been John T. Murray born Washington, Arkansas?about 1853. Mother was Elizabeth (Hahn or Cross???) born about 1861 in Missouri. It was said John Murray died and Elizabeth remarried a Frank L. Lamoreaux they lived in Missouri in 1900 census states they were married two years meaning they married about 1898. Elizabeth has a postcard photo of her home and on it is written Kansas City, Kansas? Missouri? Ohio Street.? I sure would like to know who these people are and if anyone has any clues I would appreciate some help with this. Also cousins of Ethel Murray (who could be related to them thru the Murray family) are Anna Hahn who looks to be about the same age as Ethel could be older or younger but not by much meaning she would have been born around 1883.; Karl Meyer; Arthur Meyer and George. Two of the younger boys were close in age. The oldest boy looks to be about seven. Thanks again for any help I can get with my Ggrandmother's family. Ethel married in California, Missouri to Emil ZumBerge and then moved to Texas.

Henry Mason and Martha Robinson married in Howard County, MO. Their children were: E.C. (I believe the C is for Catherine), James F., John Willis, Thomas F., William H.. The older children were born in Howard County, William must have been born in Pettis County because his parents were enumerated in Pettis County in 1860. Haven't been able to locate them later than that ....yet. John and Annie B. Smith Mason is Henry's parents, Martha's parents are John Maximillian and Lucy Ann Butler Robinson living in the Howard and Boone counties of MO. My ancestors of which I seek are Mary Estella Murray who married a Robertson/Roberson. I do not know his first name. She was called Stella and she was born about 1886 in Missouri. She had a daughter Margaret. I do not know where they lived other than Missouri but there is a possiblity that they lived elsewhere such as Illinois or Kansas. Stella's mother was Mrs Elizabeth Murray but her husband died and she remarried Frank L. Lamoreaux. Elizabeth lived in Missouri in 1900 as I found her on the census and her daughters were still with her including my future ggrandfather. After that I am not sure. Most of the family was involved with the railroad. Mr. John Murray (the father of the Murray girls) was a conductor. Mr. Lamoreaux was also a conductor for the railroad in Missouri. Elizabeth outlived her husband and I know this because there was a photo taken and on the back it says taken after the funeral of Frank Lamoreaux. I do not know any more! about Stella and Margaret. The other sister Alma also married but I do not know who she married. I do not know if Alma is her full name or not. I know epilepsy ran in the family.

    3. I am interested in this JOHNSON family too. A while back I received an email about this family. Let me see if I can dig it out. I think these JOHNSONs are related to the JOHNSONs of Cooper, Boone and Howard Co. They descend from Capt. William H. Johnston (or Johnson) who married Rachel Spears. Their descendants show up in the Central Missouri area. I'll look for my notes. I have been tracing slaves in the Johnston/Johnson family from Bunceton Missouri back to VA -- where the JOHNSONS/JOHNSTONS connect into the family of William Waller -- the family who owned Alex Haley's ancestors. traci wilson-kleekamp african americans in missouri http://www.missouri-slave-data.org

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: CANNON, HATHAWAY, LACEY, PEYTON, STONE, WARREN Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/FMB.2ACE/1355 Message Board Post: Seeking descendants of Martha HATHAWAY; b. circa 1840 at Indiana; daughter of Richard HATHAWAY and Milly STONE. She m. James WARREN, son of Hedgeman WARREN and Lydia CANNON, 21 Oct 1858; She m. second, J.A. PEYTON. Pioneers of Pettis county, page 1:54-55 states Martha HATHAWAY married Benjamin F. Ransdell, Jr. 27 Apr 1865. This compiler believes sister Margaret married Benjamin RANDSELL on that date, as set forth on page 1:62. On page 1:62 and 2:32 it is stated Martha HATHAWAY married James WARREN 21 Oct 1858. On page 2:32 it is further stated that after the death of husband James WARREN, 13 December 1859, Martha married (--?--) PEYTON. Martha HATHAWAY is said to have married James WARREN 21 October 1858; and James WARREN died 1859. James WARREN is said to have had seven children by a previous marriage to Lydia LACEY. The youngest of these children would be about six years of age in 1860 (Pioneers of Pettis county, pp. 2:32-33). However, in the 1860 census, Martha is listed as plain Martha without last name WARREN in her father's family. Also in her fathers household, is J.R. WARREN, male, eight months old. J.R. WARREN is surely the son of James and Martha (HATHAWAY) WARREN. This researcher can find no trace of James WARREN's minor children in the 1860 Pettis county census. The families of Erbin and Hedgeman WARREN, brothers of James, are listed, but there is no sign of James children (1860 census, Missouri, Pettis county, Flat Creek township, p. 874). 1880 census, Missouri, Pettis county, Green Ridge, p. 10D; J.A. PEYTON, 43, grain dealer, born Kentucky, parents born Kentucky; Martha PEYTON, 40, born Indiana, father born Ohio, mother born South Carolina; following children all born Missouri, father born Kentucky, mother born Indiana; C.L. PEYTON, son, 18, grain dealer; M.L. PEYTON, daughter, 15; T.C.F. PEYTON, son, 12; J.E. PEYTON, son, 8; G.H. PEYTON, son 6; Ernest PEYTON, son, 3. James WARREN was born on 23 Jan 1818 at Christian county, Kentucky. He married Lydia F. LACEY on 23 Sep 1836 at Christian county, Kentucky. He died on 13 Dec 1859 at Pettis county, Missouri, at age 41. He was buried at Ervin WARREN cemetery, Pettis county, Missouri. Known children of Martha HATHAWAY and James WARREN were: i. J.R. WARREN; b. circa 1859 at Missouri. J.A. PEYTON was born circa 1837 at Kentucky. Known children of Martha HATHAWAY and J.A. PEYTON all b. at Missouri were as follows: i. C.L.
