    1. [MOPETTIS] Col John H Parker
    2. This was received off list. Is there anyone who can help point this person in the right direction? Cathy I am researching a book on World War 1 that involves a resident of Sedalia, Missouri. His name was Colonel John H. Parker. Colonel Parker retired to Sedalia in the 1920's after an illustrious 30 year career in the U.S. Army. I would appreciate any information that you might have on this individual. My research shows that he did not have any children, so whatever contacts today would be surviving nephews, nieces, etc. Colonel Parker was a member of the 26th "Yankee" Division, the first National Guard division to fight in World War 1. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross 3 times for valour. I would be very grateful if you could forward this email to anyone in the city who would help me with this research objective. Thank you very much. Terry Finnegan [email protected]

    1. [MOPETTIS] Stella M Roberts connection w/ Chas Williams
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Roberts-Williams 1908-1920 ?? Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/FMB.2ACE/1445 Message Board Post: I am trying to connect Charles E Williams, born in Wayne Co Iowa about 1879/80 to Stella M Roberts. I located Charles Williams on the 1910 Census, Jackson Co married to Stella M, age 36. They had been married 1 year and had a dau, Opal, born July 1909. This much I have verified. The census indicated Stella had given birth to 'three children' and 'three' were living, however only Opal was living with them. By this I have assumed Stella was married before and was either divorced or widowed. By obtaining a copy of Stella's daughter Opal's application for Social Security, I found that she said her mother's maiden name was 'Roberts'. I would like to know if this Stella Roberts has any connection to the Roberts family in Pettis county Mo. I understand, but has not been verified, that Stella Roberts Williams died when Opal was very young and did not remember her mother. Does anyone know anything at all about this family? Does anyone know who Stella married the first time and the names of her first two children. I would be grateful for any help!! Thanks, Linda Williams

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: BURNETT, TEETER, TEETERS, TURNER Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/FMB.2ACE/1444 Message Board Post: I am searching for information on Artie (b. 1891) and Molly (Mollie) Burnett (b. 1893). They are listed on the 1920 and 1930 census records as living in Sedalia with their daughter, Cordelia M. (b. 1914). Specifically, I am wondering if Molly's maiden name was Teeter or Teeters and if Cordelia married and had children. I'm trying to link the family to a tree in my family. If I am correct, Molly's parents would be Robert and Sarah Elizabeth (Turner) Teeter(s). Any help or insight would be appreciated.
