Friends, this is Carolyn, I live in Jefferson City, MO, where the Archives are. And had volunteered to do look-ups. Well, my life for several months has been chaotic. I have been ill, had to be hospitalized. My sweet hubby downloaded aol 8.0, I lost all my email (Yes, I know it is not supposed to do that.) He had someone come in to clean up the house (I love him for doing that) but she did something with all my look-up cards that were all next to the computer. So, if I was supposed to look something up for you and have not done it, please resend it directly to me. I've been going through email today. I know that Charlotte actually lives in Pemiscot County and is so great about finding things for people. And several others are helping people. This is great. Remember to share your findings with the whole list. I love it when I see a family name I recognize. The Archives depends on submissions from each county. I feel that there may not be as much material here as there is in the genealogy room at the library in Caruthersville. I have my own inhouse expert on Pemiscot County (my hubby). So, that helps.
